On February 14, 2018, there was a mass school shooting in Parkland, Florida in which 17 people were killed and dozens seriously injured.  In THE PARKLAND 17, we highlight the stories of two parents who lost their children in the massacre.  Andrew Pollack, father of Meadow (17), and Lori Aldaheff, mother of Alyssa (14), share their individual stories about what happened on the day of the shooting, and how they are now dedicating their lives to make all schools safe.

The film takes viewers on an amazing heartfelt journey as Andrew fights the public school system and partisan lawmakers who ignore the fact that America’s public schools are unsafe and vulnerable to massacres of all kinds.  In addition, we follow Lori as she enters politics for the first time to battle for a seat on the Broward County School Board.  The film also examines how the shooter fell through the cracks, and what measures can be taken to make schools safe.

The film is currently in production with a wrap date scheduled for late September.  The film is expected to be released in early February 2019.
